This notice describes information handled through the Sunrise Massage Therapy website, booking system and customer accounts. The studio is at 3707 Dempster St, Skokie, IL 60076. For a privacy question or request, email hello@sunrisetherapymassage.com or call (847) 674-1786.
Information you provide
- Bookings: name, email, telephone number, treatment, duration, preferred pressure, therapist preference, appointment time and status, optional appointment notes, and an optional couples guest name.
- Accounts: sign-in details handled by Firebase Authentication, an account identifier, email address, and account/profile information. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the profile information needed for that sign-in.
- Messages and preferences: contact-form details, communications with the studio, and communication choices, including when and how consent was recorded.
- Operations and security: appointment changes, consent and audit records, notification delivery records, and technical information used by the website's hosting, authentication and abuse-prevention services.
Please provide another person's information only with their permission. Do not enter diagnoses, medical records, detailed health history, government identifiers or payment-card numbers in appointment notes or contact forms. This website does not currently collect online payments, deposits or raw card details.
How information is used
Information supports appointments, account access, customer support, requested booking updates, fraud and abuse prevention, and business recordkeeping. The booking system keeps appointment history so customers and authorized studio staff can manage appointments. Choosing optional text messages is separate from booking. Marketing consent is separate from operational appointment communications.
Service providers and other sites
The website uses Google Firebase for hosting, authentication and application services, and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise through Firebase App Check to help prevent abuse. Google may process device, browser and request information for these services. See Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Providers supporting the studio's email, text delivery and technical operations may process the information needed to deliver those services when they are enabled. Authorized studio staff and technical service providers may access records needed for their work. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.
Public pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. The visit page contains an embedded Google map. Those services receive requests from your browser when used. Links to Google Maps, Facebook, Groupon and other independent sites lead to services with their own privacy practices.
Text messaging privacy
If you separately opt in and text delivery is enabled, Sunrise Massage Therapy may send appointment confirmations, reminders, cancellation or rescheduling notices, and related account updates. Message frequency varies with your appointments. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help; you can also contact the studio. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase.
Mobile numbers, text-messaging opt-in data and consent records are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Information needed to operate and support messaging may be provided to service providers for that purpose, or disclosed as required by law. The transactional text program is not a marketing-text subscription.
Browser storage and tracking
Account services use browser storage to maintain sign-in. The booking page caches public service and schedule-configuration information in local storage for up to 15 minutes; it does not put the customer details entered in the booking form in that cache. A service worker may cache public pages and site assets for offline access. The current site does not include advertising pixels or an analytics tracking integration.
You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser or sign out of an account. Clearing storage may sign you out or remove cached site information. It does not by itself delete appointment or account records held by the service.
Records and your choices
Different records serve appointment, support, security, consent and business-recordkeeping purposes. Their handling depends on the record and applicable obligations; this notice does not promise an automatic deletion schedule. Contact the studio to ask about your records or request access, correction or deletion. Verification of your identity may be needed, and some records may need to be retained for legitimate recordkeeping or legal reasons. There is no self-service deletion tool on the site.
For marketing emails, use the unsubscribe instructions in a message or contact the studio. A marketing opt-out does not cancel an appointment. Text opt-out instructions are above. Do not send sensitive identity documents in an initial privacy request.
Security and updates
The application uses authentication and access controls, but no website can guarantee that every security risk is eliminated. Report a concern to the contact details above. Changes to this notice will be dated here; ask the studio if you need an explanation of how a change affects your information.
