Deep tissue massage in Skokie
Slow, firm work into the deeper layers of muscle. For knots, stiff shoulders, and the soreness that follows a hard week at the gym.
What it is
Deep tissue massage uses slower strokes and focused pressure to work into tight, knotted muscle. Your therapist spends longer on the areas that need it, usually the shoulders, upper back, lower back and legs, instead of covering everything evenly.

Questions
Will deep tissue hurt?
It should feel firm and focused, not painful. Tell your therapist if the pressure is too much and they'll ease off right away.
Will I be sore afterward?
Some people feel mild soreness for a day, like after a workout. Drink water and take it easy that evening.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the knot. A tight area that has built up over weeks may need more than one visit. Your therapist can suggest a rhythm.
Should I book 60 or 90 minutes?
90 is worth it if you have more than one problem area, like shoulders and lower back.
